TagMaster founded in 1994

TagMaster was founded as a spin-off from Philips/Saab Combitech in 1994 and was a pioneer in RFID technology and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Through nine strategic acquisitions since 2015, TagMaster has broadened its offering and strengthened its presence in parking, traffic management, and security with advanced sensor systems and solutions based on radio, radar, magnetic, and camera technologies.

With over 10,000 installations worldwide, the company is a market leader in traffic and railway solutions. Today, TagMaster operates in two segments – Europe and the US – under the brands TagMaster, Citilog, Quercus, and Sensys Networks, providing innovative mobility solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and convenience while reducing environmental impact in Smart Cities.

    Acquisition of Quercus Technologies, a leading provider of video-based digital parking solutions. With installations in over 100 countries, the acquisition strengthens TagMaster’s portfolio in parking and security.

  • Augusti 2023

    TagMaster’s US subsidiary, Sensys Networks, acquired the RTMS radar division from Image Sensing Systems (ISS, USA). RTMS specializes in radar-based traffic data solutions.

  • April 2021

    Acquisition of Citilog, an innovator in video-based incident detection and AI-powered traffic solutions. Citilog introduced Deep Learning modules for traffic analysis as early as 2019.

  • Juni 2019

    Acquisition of Sensys Networks, a leading provider of wireless ITS solutions, including sensors and advanced data management, with installations in hundreds of cities worldwide.

  • Augusti 2018

    Acquisition of Hikob SA, a French IoT and sensor company specializing in traffic and parking sensors as well as charging stations for electric vehicles.

    Acquisition of Magsys, a French ITS distributor focused on vehicle counting, travel time management, and parking solutions.
